About Mary's at Falls Cottage
Located in historic West End, Mary’s at Falls Cottage offers an eclectic southern menu featuring lunch fare
from gourmet salads and sandwiches to quiches and quesadillas. Mary’s also offers a wide variety of catering services, including corporate events, wedding
receptions and private on-site parties.
Built in 1893 by W.E. Touchstone, superintendent of Camperdown
Mills, Falls Cottage was a private residence until the late 1960's. By 1976, having been abandoned for many years, the
dilapidated building was purchased through the efforts of Carolina Foothills Garden Club, in partnership with the City of
Greenville, who together restored the Cottage to its original appearance. Since then, Falls Cottage
has been open to the public. It has served as the home of the Metropolitan Arts Council, Greenville
Artists Guild Gallery, Tours Around Greenville and the office for fundraising for the Peace Center for the Performing Arts.
Falls Cottage is now a protected landmark on the Historic Register.
In 2004, Falls Cottage
became the home of Mary's Restaurant and the building and its gardens have become a central part of Falls Park on the
Reedy River.
